Wolt is hiring a Working Student to join Wolt’s global legal team in Berlin to assist our lawyers in a wide range of commercial, regulatory and corporate matters across our 27 countries with a focus on supporting the German legal team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is excited about learning from and supporting basically any legal related tasks that we handle at Wolt.
We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid of digging into different kinds of legal issues and understands the Wolt way of doing things – a problem solver and a solution-oriented business enabler. Our ideal team member is flexible, dynamic and proactively gets things done. We also appreciate quick thinking and a can-do attitude of rolling up one’s sleeves and getting to work, no matter the task. We expect you to already have some work experience from the legal fields relevant for the role.
The role is fixed-term with starting date as soon as possible.
Key responsibiities:
Review of various types of agreements, e.g. NDAs, data protection agreements and commercial agreements, with the help of our contracting guidelines;
Helping with various development related tasks such as developing our ways of working with external law firms including engagement letter management, thinking of best ways to organize our digital legal archives, developing legal team materials etc.;
Assisting with corporate topics like subsidiary management;
Conducting legal research related to regulatory topics concerning e-commerce, marketing, privacy, consumer protection and product safety;
Coordinating outsourced legal advice with our network of global external law firms;
Assisting in privacy risk assessments and data protection impact assessments and supporting in data protection incident management and investigations;
Helping to review various legal related translations;
Supporting with compliance related topics;
Assisting with contract template development and bringing our contracting processes and template management to the next level.
Our humble expectations
Qualifications
You are a law student close to graduation and with a good academic record.
You’ve preferably already gained some work experience alongside your studies from a reputable law firm and/or the legal department of an international company.
Knowledge and practical experience of at least some of the relevant legal areas, such as commercial and contract related legal matters, e-commerce, privacy, marketing, corporate law, employment law or consumer protection.
Excellent IT skills.
You are solutions-driven with a can-do attitude.
Ability to take ownership and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on the right priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Quick thinking and the type of person who rolls up their sleeves and gets to work, no matter the task.
You are able to work on-site at our office in Berlin.
Fluent in English and German
