About the Role
As a Merchant Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and growing relationships with our restaurant and retail partners on the Wolt platform. You will ensure that our partners remain active, engaged, and perform successfully by providing insights, guidance, and clear business operational recommendations that help them achieve their goals.
This role is ideal for someone who is sales-driven, ambitious, and eager to grow. You enjoy taking ownership, building relationships, and driving measurable results. You are confident using data to uncover opportunities and support your decisions, and you’re not afraid to lead operational projects that improve partner performance or internal processes.
What you’ll be doing
Day-to-day in this role you’ll be:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of merchants, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term engagement with Wolt.
- Identify and act on business opportunities that strengthen partner performance and sales growth, using data and insights to guide your actions.
- Guide partners on how to improve operational performance, including staying online, reducing rejected orders, and maximizing revenue potential.
- Ensure merchants activate and use weekly performance reports, understand them, and apply insights to manage their staff effectively. Emphasize the importance of data visibility and accountability in daily operations.
- Encourage partners to follow best practices that lead to consistent results and improved customer experience.
- Take the lead on or actively contribute to projects that enhance partner performance or improve internal efficiency.
- Support partners with basic operational questions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth merchant experience.
Our humble expectations
- You have at least 2–4 years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or Customer-facing roles, ideally in hospitality, retail, or a related B2B environment.
- You are sales-driven, ambitious, and self-motivated, with a strong focus on achieving results.
- You are analytical and curious, comfortable using data and reports to support your conversations.
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills and can adapt your approach to different business owners.
- You are resilient and goal-oriented, able to maintain focus and energy in a fast-paced environment.
- You keep a proactive approach, not afraid to take initiative or lead small projects that improve performance and efficiency.
- You speak Czech or Slovak fluently and can communicate in English at a conversational level.
