We are looking for a Product designer to join us on our mission to make it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to your home or office. You'll be working on super interesting and complex projects related to improving the experience for our customers and merchants in Japan for Wolt. You'll be part of the Consumer design team, and work closely with our Japan Product Team.

The Japan product team focuses on small and big wins for the Japanese market. So understanding the market is a huge benefit. You will also closely work with the consumer apps, merchant tools and our operational tooling side, so knowledge of mobile and understanding of the web is preferable.

As a Product Designer, you'll get to work with some of the best in the industry while focusing on designing great experiences for our users. You're expected to produce production-quality UI designs. At the same time, you spend a part of your time participating in the UX work, including concept and validation. You'll be paired with a UX Designer, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary product management, design, data, and engineering team to deliver thoughtful and polished design work that is world class.

The role is based in Tokyo, where rest of the Japan product team is located – we love to collaborate and work closely together  🌍 

• Strong expertise in UI Design for digital products – mobile & web design experience is valuable

• You have an eye for detail and vision for world-class interfaces

• You have experience working with design systems, with ability to work creatively, building your own components outside of the design system when the experience calls for it

• You have excellent collaboration skills – you have experience of working together creatively with other designers, and cross-disciplinarily with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and copywriters

• You are fantastic at communicating your thinking and design decisions – you’re able to get the multiple stakeholders whose attention your work will receive along on the journey with you.

• Prior experience of working with Figma – you're comfortable using Figma for communicating feature specifications to designers, developers and other stakeholders
