Wolt Market is a chain of dark grocery stores available on Wolt’s well known delivery platform. Wolt Market delivers groceries to our users within 30 minutes. Last year we took a leap forward with a dedicated product offering for Wolt Market. We successfully built from scratch several teams of talented Engineers, Product Leads and Designers building internal tooling within the areas like warehousing, assortment, catalog and pricing. 

Currently we are looking for a Senior Kotlin Backend Engineer to join our Catalog and Purchasing teams 🚀

The Wolt Market Catalog Team is building a world-class product information management system which is a foundational system to all our Wolt Market domains and is directly impacting our customer experience.

The Wolt Market Purchasing team is building a fully automated order management system. Our solution will offer end-to-end support for the entire order-to-pay process, starting from accurately predicting customer demand to matching invoices and approving payments. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate manual processes, streamline operations, enhance accuracy and efficiency, and free up valuable time for our valued users.

Kotlin for us a success story; we started using it in our Fintech team but now it has spread to multiple teams across product development for building our microservices.

At Wolt you'll always play an integral part in defining team's ways of working, participate in architecture, CI/CD discussion meetings and decide on tools and best practices.

The teams collaborate closely with our Retail, DaaS, and Merchant (integrations) teams, share knowledge, best practices and infrastructure on AWS.

📍This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki, Berlin or Stockholm, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, and Estonia. Read more about our remote setup here. If you live outside of these countries - not to worry! We provide relocation support to help you make your way to Finland, Germany or Sweden.

We are looking for people who have several years of experience building high-quality software, APIs and integrations and can handle the whole development cycle all the way to production. We find strong expertise in other JVM backend languages like Java and Scala genuinely relevant as well. Other relevant technologies are MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and we deploy on AWS.
