The Consumer Onboarding Experience team is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to contribute new features to our awesome consumer-facing Android app.

You’ll be part of a world-class engineering organization, building Wolt with a cross-functional product team including Android, iOS and Web engineers plus design, product and analytical counterparts. The mission is to offer a Wolt-grade consumer onboarding experience, inviting consumers to enjoy the convenience and selection Wolt delivers.

The team is responsible for first-time user experiences in our consumer apps and website, from the moment the user decides to try our services to the moment the first purchase is made. Some of the key focus areas of the team are intro screens & landing pages, signup sequence, consents, address management, profile management and guest experiences.

In this role, you’ll be working on improving and maintaining the very app that millions of people in 25+ countries around the world see when ordering food and other products in Wolt. Wolt’s Android app is consistently top-rated and we place a high value on an awesome end-user experience as well as a cutting-edge UI.

This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki, Berlin or Stockholm, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, and Estonia. We're searching for someone who is passionate about crafting beautiful user interfaces with animations and is interested in the architecture that supports them.

To thrive in this role, you should already have 5+ years experience in building Android apps with Kotlin. We're looking for someone who is well-versed in the language and should be familiar with Jetpack Compose too. The ideal candidate has already been able to gain professional experience and possesses the ability to take on more responsibilities as they grow within our organization. Keeping up to date with the latest developments is important to us too.
