Role background

The People Team at Wolt is a diverse group of HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development professionals working across our countries. We’re a global People function, well-respected by the people and teams that we support and partner with. To reach our next exciting growth plans, we are now looking for an experienced Regional HR Operations Lead, Nordics to join our People Team in Finland. 

As the Regional HR Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Tier 1-2 HR services across all Nordic markets. Tier 1 handles routine HR queries, manages employee data and data quality, and administers HR processes. Tier 2 specializes in complex issue resolution, and provides guidance on HR policies and procedures, working with Team Leads and other stakeholders to ensure effective HR service delivery. 

You will report to the Regional HR Lead, Nordics, and lead a team of dedicated HR professionals based in Finland and across the Nordic countries. You will ensure that we deliver a world class HR service experience to our 2000+ team mates across the region, based in Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, plus the UK and Netherlands.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and oversee Tier 1-2 HR service delivery in the Nordic region, providing prompt and high-quality employee life cycle support to 2000+ team mates and team leads.
  • Lead a team of six HR Coordinators and HR Operations Specialists located across the Nordics, promoting collaboration, inclusivity, consistency and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with business and People Team stakeholders to improve processes, streamline HR services, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and benchmark HR service metrics, analyze trends, drive for operational excellence and efficiency and proactively address issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee data in compliance with GDPR and SOX. Establish efficient processes for data entry, integrity checks, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR Tech and IT teams to drive HR service delivery system and tooling enhancements that support the employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, and the associated ownership and development of company policies, and best practices across the Nordic markets.
  • Establish and maintain HR knowledge bases, HR policies and procedures, and related documentation.

Our humble expectations

  • Experience in international HR service delivery or HR operations, with a focus on Tier 1-2 HR services.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and technology (ideally Workday), with the ability to leverage technology to optimize HR service delivery.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and local labor laws within Finland in particular. Nordic-level understanding preferred.
  • Previous experience leading and managing geographically distributed operational HR teams, preferably in an international HR shared services environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
  • A problem-solving and can-do attitude combined with networking skills and a willingness to take initiative.
