Hey, you look like you might be our new ย Engineering Team Lead, Self-service / Context-aware Automation

Engineering

Berlin, Germany or remote

Full-time

World-class customer service is one of the cornerstones of Wolt ๐Ÿ’™ Over the years we have invested a lot in our in-house built support tooling as we believe that itโ€™s the only way we can ensure satisfaction for all of our customers and partners in each of the 23 countries that we operate in.

We take huge pride in our customer operationsโ€™ quality, so on top of building delightful support experiences in our consumer app we also want to proactively identify and solve issues even before our customers and partners even notice something might be wrong.

To make sure that our more than 20M+ monthly users are able to get help as quickly as possible, we have a team that is building a self-service support platform. The platform will allow us to design self-service flows with a no-code solution and then deploy them into the hands of customers in a matter of minutes.

We work with high ownership in small teams where each team member works around the whole software development life cycle. Each and every one of our product team members have a say in where we are going and what solutions we implement.

As the team lead, youโ€™ll be an inspirer, facilitator, and an enabler for the team to do what they do best by running the weekly cycle of the team, participating in designing technical solutions, making personal development plans, hosting regular 1on1s, taking part in recruitment, and being there for your team whenever they need you.

If youโ€™re looking for a role to combine your engineering and leadership skills - this is it! ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿ“This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki, Berlin or Stockholm, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, and Estonia. Read more about our remote setup here. If you live outside of these countries - not to worry! We provide relocation support to help you make your way to Finland, Germany or Sweden.

Our humble expectations

You know what it takes to develop top-quality software, take care of people, and achieve ambitious goals together.

You'll be an inspirer, facilitator, and enabler for the team. We expect you to be a good communicator, willing to serve people outside of your team, and a product-oriented and proactive problem solver willing to bring up issues in a constructive manner to the team and the whole Wolt Product team.

You are the rare gem when you also have a solid engineering background with Python, and an understanding of mobile ecosystems, so you will be able to speak the same language with your team and stakeholders, as well as contribute to the hands-on work. Having experience with AWS, Kubernetes and distributed systems will for sure help too.

Next steps

The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so make sure to apply as soon as you realize you really, really want to join us!

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as youโ€™ll own a piece of the pie.
