We are now looking to increase our focus on the traffic engineering aspects of our platform: it is a fast moving, highly critical area where complexity can grow quickly. We would love to see you joining our experienced team as a DevOps engineer focused on Traffic Engineering! Our platform runs on AWS infrastructure. You will be working with VPC networking & Transit Gateways, Cloudfront CDN & Shield DDoS protection, EKS Kubernetes clusters & Ingress Controllers and be able to evolve our networking architecture and observability.
We will start with a small team of traffic engineers working within the Infrastructure team with the longer-term goal of owning the traffic and connectivity space end-to-end! In 2024 we will revisit our architectural choices in this domain and build for the future: scale, security, observability, automation and operability. There is a lot of ground to cover and work to be done!
📍This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki or Stockholm, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland or Sweden. Read more about our remote setup here. Our humble expectations
You are no stranger to large scale, high performance environments with constant change. You are able to architect, select and implement solutions in your technical domain.
You have a strong background in networking and traffic engineering, you’re able to work up and down the stack from tcpdump to HTTP headers and gRPC. You’re comfortable with public cloud networking solutions at scale (AWS) and have exposure to network security tools, practices and solutions.
You feel right at home working with public clouds, infra-structure-as-code (Terraform), containers, Kubernetes etc and understand the importance of automation.
