Role Background:

The People team at Wolt currently consists of about 100 HR, Payroll and Talent Acquisition professionals located in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Berlin, Tel-Aviv, Tbilisi, Budapest, Zagreb, and Tokyo. To reach our next exciting stage of growth plans, we are now expanding our People team and looking for an experienced Compensation Manager. This role is preferably based either in our Helsinki or Berlin office and will report to the Head of Compensation & Benefits

What you'll be doing:

In this role, you will be the dedicated Compensation partner to our Product+ organisation which consists of Analytics & Data Science, Engineering, Product Design, Product Management, and Security. In addition, you will also be having a direct impact on our compensation strategy as you will be leading our work on short-term incentives and our initiatives on diversity and fair pay. 

You will: 

  • Provide ongoing advisory & consultation to People Partners and TA partners on compensation-related questions
  • Develop and lead our initiatives on diversity and fair pay, including a global pay equity analysis
  • Perform research on emerging trends, issues, and best practices in compensation, using analytics to help enhance programs
  • Provide support on compensation data needs/analytical support for special projects
  • Work on the design and management of short-term incentive programs
  • Be a key partner in our journey to become a truly innovative Rewards team

Our humble expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and considerable experience working with broader compensation analysis, design, consulting, and/or operations
  • Deep experience working with short- and long-term incentive programs, especially Sales Incentive Programs and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
  • Experience in leading global pay equity analysis is a bonus
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to prioritise on a consistent basis in an evolving, global, and matrixed work environment
  • Expertise with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
  • You understand modern HR solutions (preferably Workday), understand how to build the compensation processes into a modern SaaS solution
  • You have a problem-solving and can-do attitude combined with networking skills and a willingness to take initiative
  • Feeling comfortable outside of your comfort zone - being adaptable to change in an ever-evolving and fast-moving environment.
  • Able to lead, influence through data and make data-informed decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Possessing a true growth mindset and looking to consistently develop skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and strong attention to detail - knowing how to spin the plates and plan your time accordingly.
  • Able to collaborate and proactively communicate clearly both verbally and in written form with various stakeholders in English.
