We seek an experienced Kotlin Backend Engineer to join our Platform Services team!

The Platform Services team is critical in helping our product teams create better features faster. We focus on foundational matters like libraries, core services, tools, and components that help improve the experience and efficiency of our engineers. Our primary goal is to reduce the need for redundant work and support other teams in creating amazing customer experiences. This role will be based in Helsinki, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland.

Working in this team means putting both your technical and interpersonal skills into action.

👉 You have been working with Kotlin or Java for several years now and have excellent coding skills. Any experience with Python and/or Scala is beneficial. 

👉You have a good overall understanding of AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, different databases, software design patterns, and microservices architecture patterns - you know the full impact of large deployments.

👉 You know what it takes to develop top-quality software and achieve ambitious goals together. We expect you to be a good communicator, willing to collaborate with people outside your team. You should be a product-oriented and proactive problem solver willing to bring up issues constructively.

The compensation will be a combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you’ll own a piece of the pie.
